Token Development Cost, Explained

There is no single price for a token — the cost depends on a handful of clear drivers. Here is what moves the number, and AVAA’s indicative base range, so you can plan a realistic budget.

01 — Drivers

What Moves the Price

Token Development Cost Drivers

  • Blockchain choice: Different chains and standards carry different development, tooling, and deployment effort.
  • Token type: A simple utility token is at the low end; asset-referenced stablecoins and RWA structures — with reserves, audits, and legal structuring — sit far higher.
  • Compliance scope: White-paper preparation, documentation, and coordination with your counsel add scope where a public EU offer applies.
  • Security audit: Independent review and testing before mainnet is essential and scales with contract complexity.
  • Scale & features: Custom mechanics, integrations, dashboards, and multi-chain deployment increase effort.

02 — Ranges

AVAA’s Indicative Base Range

From €10k

Straightforward tokens with standard mechanics and a single-chain deployment sit at the lower end of our indicative €10k–€50k base range.

Toward €50k

More complex builds — richer utility, custom mechanics, broader compliance documentation, and multi-chain deployment — move toward the upper end.

Beyond base

Regulated stablecoins and RWA structures, with their reserve, audit, and legal-structuring requirements, are quoted individually above the base range.

FAQ

Common Questions Answered

How much does it cost to develop a token?

AVAA’s indicative base range is €10k–€50k, depending mainly on the blockchain, the token type, the compliance scope, the audit, and the feature set. Regulated stablecoins and RWA structures are quoted individually above that range.

Why is there such a wide range?

Because a simple utility token and a reserve-backed stablecoin are very different builds. The token type, compliance documentation, audit depth, and custom features are the biggest cost drivers.

Does the price include a security audit?

Independent review and testing before mainnet is part of a responsible build and is scoped into your quote. We confirm the exact audit approach during discovery.

Are compliance and legal costs included?

AVAA’s quote covers technical development and documentation. Legal classification, licensing, and any prospectus work are handled by your counsel and priced separately by them.

How do I get an exact price?

Book a short discovery call. Once your requirements and token classification are clear, we translate them into a fixed, itemised quote.
